Hatha is a general category that includes most yoga styles. A series of poses (asanas) and breathing exercises are done with the intention to bring peace to the body and mind. The poses are held for a longer period of time, with relaxation in between. Some find it hard to relax mentally, calming the mind. Others find the physical part more challenging. Both parts are very crucial to maintain a healthy life. Regular practice of Hatha yoga will help you build up strength, flexibility, stamina and very important, increase awareness of your body and mind. This will prevent a lot of injuries and you will experience a positive impact on your daily life.
